Alison Jacobs was named Metroland Magazine's 2006 Best Female Vocalist and it's easy to see why! She is a deft and soulful singer (and songwriter) of many blues styles who was nurtured around music and always had an appreciation and deep affinity for blues. She has shared the stage with talented musicians - from Bavaria to California and back across the states to the East Coast. In 2000 at a Performance Racing Industry trade show in Indiana, Alison took the stage at a kick-off party for over 4000 attendees and wowed the audience with her vocal power. In return trips to Indianapolis. After returning to New York in 2002, she became entrenched in the local music scene, The Stony Creek Band, and The Lustre Kings. In 2005, she teamed up with the young impressive guitarist, Matt Mirabile and won the 2005 Northeast Blues Society's Colossal Contenders Competion which secured them an invitation to compete at the 2006 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. In 2006, they released their self-produced debut album, Matt Mirabile and Alison Jacobs, 50fifty, featuring 11 new, original tunes, 10 of which Alison penned (or co-penned).
